BREAD ROLL

INGREDIENTS :

  • Flour : 200gm
  • Fresh yeast : 10 gm
  • Sugar : 25 gm
  • Egg : 1 nos
  • Butter : 50 gm
  • Salt : 1/2 tsp
  • Milk powder: 10 gm
  • Warm water : 100 ml

METHOD OF PREPARATION :

  • In a bowl add yeast with a little sugar along with warm water in order to check fermentation of yeast.
  • Sprinkle some flour on top of yeast, sugar water mixture and cover with damp muslin cloth to maintain fermentation of yeast.
  • In another mixing bowl , mix all the dry ingredients.
  • Add fermented yeast and the rest of the water.
  • Knead well to make a smooth dough.
  • Keep the dough for first proving to double the size.
  • Knead the dough back to normal shape and size
  • Keep for second proving.
  • Knead the dough and scale it into required per weight (50gm) . Give it a perfect shape.
  • Place it in greased bread trays , apply egg wash and sprinkle some poppy seeds on top and bake in oven.
  • Baking times for bread rolls at (200-220)°C for (11-15) minutes. Until proper golden brown color on top crust.

Note:

Bread sticks can be made from same dough just add 1% of salt from dough that you have separated to prepare bread sticks. At (200-220)°C for 10 minutes.
