DOUGHNUT

A small ring of sweet leavened dough that has been fried or sometimes baked.

INGREDIENTS

  • Flour : 600gm
  • Dry Yeast : 10gm
  • Sugar : 40gm
  • Salt : 5gm
  • Butter : 25gm
  • Gluten : 5gm
  • Improver : 5gm
  • Milk powder : 5gm
  • Egg : 1nos
  • Warm Water : as required

METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • In a mixing bowl add flour, dry yeast, sugar, salt ,butter, gluten, bread improver,milk powder,egg and mix it well.
  • Pour the warm water and make a dough.
  • Knead the dough until it becomes smooth in texture.
  • Cover it with a muslin cloth and leave it for proving.
  • After its size get double, make the doughnut balls of about 80gm.
  • Give the shape of doughnut with cutter and again leave it for proving.
  • In a mean time , heat the oil in a pan, once heated deep fry the doughnut and cook it turning on moth side until it turns to golden brown color.
  • For garnishing dip it in a chocolate sauce and sprinkle some sprinkles on top.
