SHAHI TUKDA

Triangle shape bread deep fried and soaked in reduced milk garnish with nuts.

INGREDIENTS

  • Bread : 1 loaf
  • Milk : 4ltr
  • Condensed milk: 190gm
  • Khuwa : 250gm
  • Ghee/oil : for frying
  • Saffron: for color
  • Cashew nuts : 50gm
  • Raisin : 50gm
  • Pistachio : 50gm

METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Cut and remove the brown crust part of the bread and cut it into triangle shape.
  • In a kadhai , heat oil / ghee deep fry the bread.
  • In a pot boil the milk and leave it to reduce to half.
  • In a mean time, knead khuwa and when milk is reduced to half.
  • Add condensed milk, kneaded khuwa, saffron, and leave it to boil once again.
  • Once prepared place the deep fried bread in serving plate pour prepared rabdi over it.
  • Garnish it with cashew nuts, raisin and pista.
